Sushi Go! (2013)
One of my go-to games when I want to fit in a quick game any night of the week or with my kids in my Tabletop Gaming Club, Sushi Go! feeds all of it! It doesn't hurt that I sometimes feel I should automatically be allowed an order of sushi whenever I play this game.Sushi Go! is a drafting, hand management game where you take a card, pass your hand left, reveal the card you chose and then do it all over again until you're out of cards. There are bonus cards such as wasabi, chopsticks, and pudding! The player at the end of three rounds with the most points wins. You score all but the pudding at the end of each round.
Gamers of all ages will have fun with this. I used it with my Tabletop Gaming Club and whether they loved sushi or not, they found enjoyment. Some rejected the game because it was sushi and they are grossed out by that, but they're 11! So be it! It plays 2-5, which makes it great for families and couples.
Clearly, when you play this, though, you should have sushi as your entree! So look for your local place and order your favorite platter. Don't forget the Lightsaber Chopsticks!
I love this game, the artwork is just so adorable!
ReplyDeleteI know! It's just super cute! I've been pulling it out whenever there's a lull, because I can play it and feel good about it. Sadly, my husband is starting to get some practice in, so who knows how much longer I'll be able to out maneuver him. Devious husbands!
DeleteI love sushi, and haven't played this one yet, so it's going on my want list ASAP. Too cute!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I had a friend over for Legendary Encounters: Alien, which has far less appetizing art. Perhaps if we'd been able to distract the xenomorphs with enough pickled ginger, the outcome could have been different. As it was, our defeat was swift and tragic.
